Champoton Tour

On this excursion to Champotón, you'll discover its monuments and beaches and find out why this city is the gastronomic capital of the state of Campeche!

Description

After picking you up at 8 am at the Ocean View Hotel in Campeche, we'll head south to Champotón, on the western coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Our first stop will be at the San José Carpizo hacienda, located in the northwest of Champotón. This former cattle and henequen hacienda showcases 19th-century regional architecture.

Next, we'll visit downtown Champotón for a guided tour. In the old town, we'll see the main square and the facade of the colonial-style church of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes.

Champotón is known as the gastronomic capital of Campeche. After the city tour, you'll have an hour to have lunch and explore local dishes featuring fish and seafood, along with options made from beans and meat.

After lunch, we'll go to the Costa del Sol beach club, where you'll have an hour to relax and sunbathe on sun loungers and hammocks.

Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, arriving by 3 pm.
