Champoton Tour

On this excursion to Champotón, you'll discover its monuments and beaches and find out why this city is the gastronomic capital of the state of Campeche!

Description

After pick-up at 8 am at the Ocean View Hotel in Campeche, we will head south to Champotón.

Our first stop will be at the San José Carpizo hacienda, located in the northwest of Champotón. The remains of this former cattle and henequen hacienda showcase the architecture that developed in the region throughout the 19th century.

Next, we will proceed to downtown Champotón for a guided tour. In the old town, we'll visit the main square and admire the façade of the colonial-style church of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes.

Champotón is recognized as the gastronomic capital of the state of Campeche. After the city tour, you will have an hour at leisure for lunch, exploring traditional dishes featuring fish and seafood as main ingredients, as well as specialties made with beans and meat.

Following lunch, we will visit the Costa del Sol beach club, where you will have an hour to relax and sunbathe in the loungers and hammocks.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point, arriving by 3 pm.
