Description

This excursion to Champotón starts at 8 am at the Ocean View Hotel in Campeche. Champotón, located on the western coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, is known for its monuments and beaches. The tour begins with a visit to the San José Carpizo hacienda, showcasing 19th-century architecture.

Next, a guided tour of downtown Champotón includes stops at the main square and the colonial-style church of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes. Champotón is recognized as the gastronomic capital of Campeche, offering a variety of traditional dishes centered around fish, seafood, beans, and meat.

Following the city tour, guests have an hour for lunch to explore the culinary delights. The tour concludes with a visit to the Costa del Sol beach club, where visitors can relax and sunbathe in sun loungers and hammocks. The excursion ends at 3 pm back at the Ocean View Hotel.
