Los Chenes Region Tour

We'll pick you up at 7 am at your hotel in San Francisco de Campeche and depart for Los Chenes, named for the pre-Columbian wells, or ch'e'en, found in the area.

The first stop will be at the archaeological site of Hochob, where we will explore the remains of ancient Mayan palaces and observe preserved stone stelae depicting various deities and cultural identifiers.

Following the tour of Hochob, we will visit the archaeological site of Dzibilnocac, where we will see remnants of the ancient Mayan city, including imposing stone temples and preserved pyramidal bases that illustrate the architecture of that era.

Next, we will travel to the town of Hopelchén for a break at the restaurant La Capilla, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch, with options of chicken, beef, or assorted barbecued items.

After the break, we will visit the village of Ich-Ek to learn about surviving Mayan traditions. Finally, we will return to your hotel in Campeche, arriving at 3 pm.
