Uxmal Tour

You'll see all the vestiges of the Uxmal archaeological site, one of the main Mayan sites in the Yucatan, on this excursion from San Francisco de Campeche.

Uxmal Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up at the Ocean View Hotel. From there, we'll head to Puuc, an area of the Yucatan Peninsula noted for its large pre-Columbian archaeological sites.

After a 2-hour drive, we'll stop at the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal. Upon arrival at the archaeological site, a World Heritage Site, we'll begin our tour of the monumental complex including its temples and step pyramids.

The guided tour will start at the Pyramid of the Magician, where we'll learn about an ancient legend. The tour will continue to the Quadrangle of the Nuns, a unique rectangular building with its own secrets. Next, we'll visit the remains of the Governor's Palace and the Ball Game field, which was popular in pre-Columbian times.

After visiting the Uxmal enclave, we'll return to the starting point in Campeche, arriving at 2:30 pm.
