Enjoy a beach day surrounded by nature on Isla Holbox, a beautiful Caribbean island with a unique environment that is home to numerous bird species.

Isla Holbox Day Trip

Once we've collected you from your hotel in Cancún first thing in the morning, we'll make our way to Chiquilá port. Here, we'll take a small boat to Isla Holbox, a picturesque island located to the north of the Yucatán peninsula.

When we get to the west coast of Isla Holbox, we'll make a stop at a paradisiacal beach. Here, you'll have 45 minutes of free time to relax and sunbathe, or explore the beach, before heading onto the next stop.

Leaving the beach behind, we'll then reach Isla Pasión (Passion Island), a small island with pristine beaches that is home to different bird species. You'll have some free time to explore at your own leisure or relax at the viewpoints, looking out over the entire island.

Our next stop will be Punta Mosquito, an impressive 30 kilometer-long (18.6 mi) pristine beach that can only be accessed by boat. Between March and October, this area is home to an impressive population of pink flamingos as they make their way to South America.

Next, we'll stop at a breathtaking beach, where we'll have lunch in a local restaurant. Then, with newfound energies, you'll have 1 hour 30 minutes of free time to enjoy the beach or visit the town of Holbox, just a few minutes walk away.

After a fabulous day exploring the charm of Isla Holbox, we'll board the boat and head back to the Chiquilá port, and from there we'll return to your hotel, arriving 10 to 12 hours later.

Monday and Thursday Tours

Please note that if you do the tour on a Monday or Thursday, the itinerary will be modified, and the tour will be done by speedboat, not by boat. Additionally, we'll skip the first swimming stop, and we'll take you directly to Isla Pasión, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and have an hour of free time.

Afterward, we'll pass briefly through Punta Mosquito and drop you off in the town of Holbox. Here, you'll have 3 hours of free time to swim at the beach or try some local cuisine at your own pace. After this time, we'll meet again to enjoy an hour in the Yalahu cenote.

This activity will last approximately 8 hours.

Itinerary Changes

Please also note that the order of the itinerary as described may vary. If you do the tour on a day other than Monday or Thursday, depending on the weather, it is possible that you will not be able to visit Punta Mosquito. Instead, we'll visit the Isla Pájaros or the Yalahau cenote.

Flamingo Sightings

Although it's common to see pink flamingos between the months of March and October, they are wild animals that roam freely. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that we'll see them.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will be picked up at your hotel in Cancún in the morning. After transferring to Chiquilá port, you will board a small boat to Isla Holbox. The itinerary includes several designated stops: a paradisiacal beach for 45 minutes, Isla Pasión for free time and exploration, and Punta Mosquito, where you may witness pink flamingos during specific months. Lunch is included in a local restaurant, followed by 1 hour and 30 minutes to relax on the beach or visit Holbox town. Your day will conclude with a return boat journey to Chiquilá and transfer back to your hotel, lasting 10 to 12 hours in total.
