On this excursion to Tulum from Cancun, we will visit a significant pre-Columbian area of the Mexican Caribbean and a Mayan village, where swimming in a sacred cenote is included.
Description
The tour starts with hotel pickup in Cancun, followed by a drive to Tulum, an important Maya site on the Yucatan coast.
Your guided tour will cover key sacred monuments, including the Temple of the Frescoes and the Temple of the Descending God, where the history of this Maya deity will be discussed.
The tour will also feature El Castillo, notable for its views of the Caribbean Sea.
After Tulum, the excursion continues to a Mayan village where locals will share their customs and traditions. A handmade tortilla workshop will take place, highlighting ancestral foods.
Post-workshop, participants will have one hour to swim in the village's cenote. After the swim, the group will return to Cancun, with arrival expected 5.5 to 7 hours after departure.
