The fortress of Carcassonne was the scene of confrontations between the French and Aragonese during the Middle Ages. Your ticket allows you to visit the Romanesque Chapel of the Bastion, the Machicolations, and the Barbican. Opening Times

The opening times of Carcassonne Castle are as follows:

April 1 to September 30: from 11 am to 6:30 pmOctober 1 to March 31: from 9:30 am to 4:15 pm

Final admission is 45 minutes before closing time. On December 24 and 31, the castle will close at 4 pm. These times are flexible and subject to change.

Young people from the European Union between 18 and 25 years old.Children under 18 years old, regardless of nationality.

To acquire free admission, visit the ticket office and present a valid ID. Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month from January to March and from November to December, as well as the third weekend of September.
