Opening Times
The opening times of Carcassonne Castle are as follows:
April 1 to September 30: 11 am to 6:30 pmOctober 1 to March 31: 9:30 am to 4:15 pm
Final admission is 45 minutes before closing time. On December 24 and 31, the castle will close at 4 pm. On January 16, 2026, the castle will open from 9:30 am to 2 pm. These times are flexible and subject to change.

Admission to the Castle and walls of Carcassonne is free for the following individuals:
Young people from the EU between 18 and 25 years.Children under 18 years, regardless of nationality.
To obtain free admission, visit the ticket office and present a valid ID. Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31, between November 1 and December 31, and the third weekend of September.
