Join us to uncover the secrets left by the Cathars in the south of France. We will meet at the appointed time in front of the majestic Narbonne Gate of Carcassonne to begin our private exploration of one of the best-preserved walled cities in Europe.

During two engaging hours, we will stroll through the historic center of Carcassonne, delving into its captivating past. This city boasts a remarkable example of medieval defensive architecture, featuring a total of 52 towers. These structures were crucial for the city’s protection and surveillance against potential attacks. Throughout the tour, you will learn about the main adversaries faced by Carcassonne.

In addition to understanding the origin of the walls of Carcassonne, we will explore the history of the significant monumental treasures of the medieval city. Among these is the stunning Basilica of Saint-Nazaire, which beautifully blends Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Its stained glass windows uniquely filter sunlight, creating a striking lighting effect within the temple.
