Varadero Private Day Trips

When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from the different day trips below. They each last 9 hours and include pickup from your hotel in Varadero and drop off at the end of the activity. Your driver-guide will pick you up at 8 am.

Matanzas & Bellamar Caves Day Trip

On this trip, we will explore the 300,000-year-old Bellamar Caves, where we will discuss the formation of the site while viewing stalactites and stalagmites. Next, we will visit Matanzas, the "City of Bridges", and its historic centre, including the Monserrate Hermitage, the Sauto Theatre, and the Cathedral of San Carlos Borromeo. We will also view the exterior of the Castle of San Severino.

Havana & Tobacco Factory Day Trip

This trip includes a 2.5-hour journey to Havana with a stop at the viewpoint of Bacunayagua or El Pescador. We will visit a tobacco factory to learn about the process of making Havana cigars and a shop to learn about rum. Additionally, we will have a sightseeing tour in modern Havana to explore the Presidential Palace, Revolution Square, the University, and the Capitol Building, followed by a visit to Old Havana to see the Cathedral and the Plaza de Armas.

Playa Larga & Playa Girón Day Trip

This trip includes 2.5 hours of travel to the Bay of Pigs to visit Playa Larga and Playa Girón. We will stop at Boca de Guamá to visit a crocodile farm or take a boat ride on the Tesoro Lagoon. The rest of the day will be free for sunbathing and swimming at the beaches.

Cienfuegos & Trinidad Day Trip

For this option, pick up is at 6:30 am for a 3-hour journey to Cienfuegos, known for its French-influenced architecture and Valle Palace. We will then continue to Trinidad for a visit to the Plaza Mayor, the Convent of San Francisco de Asís, an arts and crafts market, and try a typical cocktail.
