Carthaginians, Romans, Muslims, Christians... Discover the legacy of various civilisations in Carmona on this visit to two emblematic monuments of the "Bright Star of Europe".
Carmona Church & Alcazar Tour
Meeting at 11 am in Plaza Blas Infante, next to the Puerta de Sevilla, we will begin by exploring the city's defensive complex from the Carthaginian period.
We will enter the Alcazar of the Puerta de Sevilla, a Moorish fortress. From the Tower of Gold, we will enjoy views of the city and visit the Patio de los Aljibes to see a medieval cistern that supplied water to the Alcazar's residents.
Next, we will visit the Iglesia de Santa María, a notable gothic-renaissance church built over the old Great Mosque.
The tour concludes after two hours of exploring Carmona's cultural heritage.
