In this beginner scuba diving lesson in Cartagena de Indias, you'll learn how to safely engage in this exciting sport while exploring the vibrant seabed of the Colombian Caribbean.

Cartagena Beginners Scuba Diving Lesson

At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to Blanca Baru Beach to begin the lesson. The session will start with a discussion on the theory of underwater movement before boarding a boat to the diving area.

You will dive for 35 minutes in the Caribbean Sea, observing lobsters, turtles, and colorful tropical fish among the rocks and corals. Afterwards, the group will return to the boat and head to Tranquila Beach for relaxation and swimming before lunch. The meal includes a main course choice of mojarra fish, chicken breast, pork, or a vegetarian option, accompanied by salads and a drink.

You will be taken back to your hotel in Cartagena approximately 7.5 to 8 hours after the start of the activity.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in Bocagrande, El Laguito, and Castillogrande. If your hotel is not in these areas, pickup will be from the Juan Valdez Café at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Centre.

Children 2-12 years old

Children ages 2 to 12 may participate in the activity through snorkelling, but not diving.
