Kayaking and Snorkeling in Cala Cerrada

Immerse yourself in a memorable morning of kayaking within the Cabo Tiñoso Marine Reserve. Venture into Cala Cerrada, uncover its underwater wonders through snorkeling, and unwind with a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.

Experience Overview

The adventure begins at 9:30 am at the fishing dock located in La Azohía. Prior to embarking on the kayaks, we will provide essential safety instructions for the proper handling of the boats.

Once you are briefed, it's time to set out! We will paddle along the coastline, leaving the complexities of urban life behind.

As we navigate the waters, you will observe the impressive Torre Santa Elena, a significant fortification that once guarded against incursions from North Africa. Erected upon the orders of the Catholic Monarchs, this historic structure played a crucial role as part of the region’s defensive architecture.

Arriving at Cala Cerrada, we will step into a protected segment of the Cabo Tiñoso Marine Reserve, rich in diverse aquatic flora and fauna unique to the area. The stunning Neptune grass is one of the remarkable marine plants that you won’t want to miss.

Participants are welcome to utilize the provided snorkeling gear to admire the vibrant underwater life or enjoy a leisurely swim in the inviting waters of Cala Cerrada.

Following our exploration, we will paddle back to our starting point in La Azohía, concluding our tour at approximately 1 pm.

Weather Considerations

The itinerary may be adjusted based on the sea conditions and the group's needs. With professionals accompanying you throughout the experience, alternative options will be presented in the event of adverse weather.

Participation Requirements

The upper age limit for participation is 55 years old.Minors under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult who shares the same kayak.Ability to swim is mandatory for this activity.
