Escape from the city for a day and discover paradise on the Baru Peninsula on this day trip to Playa Tranquila from Cartagena. You'll relax at the beach club and listen to the sounds of the ocean.

Tour Options

When booking you can choose between 4 different options. They all last between 7 and 11 hours, and include return transport to the Muelle de La Bodeguita de Cartagena and lunch, with a choice of 3 protein options. Below are the details of each option:

Playa Tranquila + Admission to Freedom Beach Club

This option includes pickup from the meeting point to Barú Island by bus or boat. It offers admission to Freedom Beach Club, a welcome cocktail, access to the beach, a full meal, and return to Cartagena after approximately 2 hours.

Playa Tranquila + Oceanarium

After your welcome cocktail at Freedom Beach Club, you'll travel by boat to the Oceanarium for 2 hours of exploration. You'll return to the club for lunch and have another 2 hours at the beach before returning to Cartagena.

Playa Tranquila + Plankton

This tour allows you to enjoy the island in the morning before lunch. After lunch, a speedboat ride will take you to see a light show created by plankton. Swimming is permitted during this activity. Return to Cartagena follows the tour.

Playa Tranquila + Snorkelling + Plankton

Enjoy a welcome cocktail at Freedom Beach Club, then embark on a mangrove tour. After this, snorkel in an area known for its colourful fish. Lunch will be provided, and you'll admire the bioluminescence of the Caribbean Sea at sunset, with the option to swim with plankton before returning to Cartagena.

Playa Tranquila + Snorkelling + Mangroves

Experience a welcome cocktail, a boat tour of the mangroves for wildlife observation, and snorkelling. A delicious lunch will be served, followed by free time at the club before returning to Cartagena.

How to Get to Playa Tranquila

Choose between bus or speedboat transport from Cartagena de Indias. For the bus option, a 5-minute boat transfer to Playa Tranquila is required upon arrival. The schedules are as follows:
