Trip to Santa Marta

Description

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cartagena de Indias at the appointed time and board a minibus to Santa Marta. En route, we'll stop for breakfast in Cienaga for an egg arepa with a glass of orange juice or coffee. After a 4 hour and 30 minute drive, we'll arrive at the 'Pearl of America'.

The first stop will be the Quinta San Pedro Alejandrino hacienda, where Simon Bolivar died. Next, we will visit the statue of Pibe Valderrama before touring the Pescaito neighbourhood and heading to the bay of Santa Marta, including Parque de los Novios and the cathedral, the oldest in South America. We will also visit Plaza Bolivar Square and the colonial streets.

Our next stop is the Gold Museum in Casa de la Aduana, which showcases the cultural heritage of Santa Marta and Cartagena. We will then proceed to Rodadero to board a boat to Playa Blanca for a meal of fish, patacones, coconut rice, and salads.

Finally, we will head back to Cartagena de Indias, with a stop in Barranquilla to see the Caiman del Rio and the Window to the World. The tour concludes at your hotel after 13 hours of sightseeing.
