6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

In Casablanca and looking to explore Morocco's most charming spots? On this 6-day tour of the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Merzouga, we'll visit Meknes, Rabat, Fez, Volubilis, and the desert, before ending our route in Marrakesh.

Tour Details

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

We'll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca, or at the city's airport. In Casablanca, we'll visit the Hassan II Mosque and explore the Casablanca Medina before heading to Rabat for the night.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast in Rabat, we'll tour the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Kasbah of the Udayas. Next, we'll visit Meknes and explore its sites before heading to the ruins of Volubilis. We'll end the day traveling to Fez.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, we'll explore Fez, including the Marinid Tombs, Jewish Quarter Mellah, and the Arms Museum. A visit to the Medina will also be included. The day ends at our hotel in Fez.

Day 4: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we'll travel through the cedar forests of Azrou and visit Midelt and Erfoud. We’ll enjoy a camel ride to see the sunset over the Merzouga desert, spending the night in haimas.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges & Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise over the desert, we'll have breakfast and visit the Todgha Gorges before resting in the Dades Valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we'll travel along the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, then visit Ait-Ben-Haddou. We'll arrive in Marrakesh at 6:30 PM, concluding the tour.

Tour Accommodation

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation with breakfast in double rooms:
Rabat (3 stars): Hôtel des Oudaïas, Hotel Malak or similar.Fez (3 stars): Riad Dar Skalli, Hotel Across or similar.Dades Valley (3 stars): Auberge Panorama or similar.

On day four, we’ll camp in haimas in Merzouga, with capacity for up to 4 or 5 people depending on the category.

Pickup & End Points

This tour begins in Casablanca. You can choose a pickup point during the booking process. The tour ends in Marrakesh, where you can either stay in the city or be taken to the airport.

Itinerary Adjustments

Meknes is currently closed due to renovations. The Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is also closed, but photos can be taken from outside.
