6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

In Casablanca and looking to explore Morocco's charming spots? On this 6-day tour of the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Merzouga, we'll visit Meknes, Rabat, Fez, Volubilis, and the desert, before ending our route in Marrakesh.

Tour Details

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

At 12 pm, we will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca, or at the airport. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque and explore the Casablanca Medina before heading to Rabat, where we will settle into our hotel for the night.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we will tour Rabat, visiting the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Kasbah of the Udayas. We will then travel to Meknes to explore its souqs and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl, followed by a visit to the ruins of Volubilis. We will end the day in Fez.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, we will explore Fez, visiting the Marinid Tombs, Jewish Quarter Mellah, and Arms Museum. We will also stroll through the Medina and return to our hotel in Fez.

Day 4: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will journey through the cedar forests of Azrou to the Ziz Valley, taking in the sights along the way. We will end the day with a camel ride in the Merzouga desert, experiencing the sunset over the dunes, and spend the night in traditional haimas.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges & Dades Valley

We will watch the sunrise over the desert and enjoy breakfast before continuing to Todgha Gorges and arriving at our hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will drive along the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, visiting Ait-Ben-Haddou. We will cross the Atlas mountains and reach Marrakesh by 6:30 pm.

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation with breakfast in double rooms at the following locations:

Pickup & End Points

This tour begins in Casablanca, with pickup options available at the airport, your hotel, or a central point. The tour will end in Marrakesh, with an option to stay or be taken to the airport.

Itinerary Adjustments

Meknes is currently closed due to renovation works. The Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is also closed, but photos can be taken from the outside.
