Attention cheese enthusiasts! Join us for an exploratory visit to the cheese factory of Doña Francisca, where you will uncover the craftsmanship behind artisanal cheese production and savor a variety of delectable cheeses.

Cheese Factory Exploration and Tasting

Our journey begins at 11 am at the main entrance of the Doña Francisca cheese factory. From there, we will embark on an educational tour focused on the intricate processes involved in cheese making. You will have the opportunity to visit the milk processing areas, as well as the maturation and distribution sections of the facility.

The factory is renowned for its production of artisanal cheeses, notably the acclaimed Torta del Casa, which has earned the honor of a DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) certification. Delve into the history of this exquisite cheese, recognized as a hallmark of the Cáceres province. Additionally, the Torta "Virgen del Prado", recently awarded the title of third-best cheese in the world, is crafted here!

Following our tour, we will proceed to the tasting room. Are you prepared to indulge in 10 distinct varieties of cheese? Together, we will explore and appreciate the unique flavors, fragrances, and textures each cheese offers. Moreover, the cheese tasting will be complemented by a glass of regional wine or, if you prefer, refreshing mineral water.

The experience will conclude at 12:30 pm.
