Sintra-Cascais Natural Park Trek
After meeting at the Cascais train station, we'll take a minibus to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The trek will last approximately two hours.
During the 5 kilometre hike, we will explore a forest rich in oak, maple, and eucalyptus trees, along with various other species. There is a chance to observe local birds of prey such as falcons and eagles.
Following the trek, we will take the minibus to visit nearby towns like Zambujeiro and Murches, where the economy is largely based on vine harvesting for regional wine production. Participants will have time to enjoy coffee in the scenic surroundings.
Another highlight will be the Cresmina Dune, a UNESCO-protected site offering views of the Cabo Raso lighthouse, in operation since the late 19th century. The bus ride will also include sights of Guincho beach, known for its surfing activities.
The tour concludes at the train station in Cascais at approximately 1:30 pm.
