On this excursion to Las Aldas and La Gramita beach, we'll visit an important archaeological site on the Peruvian coast and a picturesque bay.

Las Aldas & La Gramita Beach Excursion

Pickup will be at 2 pm at your hotel in Casma, followed by a drive to Las Aldas, a key archaeological complex.

Upon arrival, a guided tour of Las Aldas will be conducted to discuss the site's history, dating from 1925 to 1410 B.C., during the Late Archaic and Formative periods. Evidence of this ancient civilization remains evident.

The tour will cover the three functions of this complex: as a ceremonial, administrative, and scientific center. Insights will be provided on managing marine resources and the rituals conducted at its ancient astronomical observatory, favorably positioned for night sky observations.

Following the visit to Las Aldas, the excursion will proceed to La Gramita beach to appreciate the beauty of this fishing cove. Participants can opt to sample local seafood and fresh fish dishes, prepared from local products.

Finally, return to your hotel in Casma is scheduled for between 5 and 5:30 pm.
