Excursion to Mount Etna from Taormina

Take a tour with a guide and admire the beauty and wonder of Europe’s highest active volcano. You will be enchanted by the majesty of the volcano and the beauty of the almost lunar landscapes .

Departure by coach with tour Leader and arrival at Etna's station of altitude 1.900 meters. Stop with the possibility of soft trekking to visit the most recent lava flows. Optional lunch or snack.

Facultative ascent to the authorized crater zones at approximately 2,900 meters with the assistance of licensed guides of the Italian Alpine Club; a stop to admire the eventual activity of the summit craters in a safety zone according to weather conditions.

Return to Taormina is estimated around 4pm.

Important information

• Customers with option 1900 meters will have free time at least 2 hours and a half/ 3 hours and can visit the Silvestri craters and have lunch at the Salpienza Refuge, while the others with option 2900 meters will continue the ascended including cable car, jeep and Alpina guide assistance.

• We strongly recommend warm clothing and suitable shoes.
