Grau de Castelló Guided Tour
We'll meet at 11:30 am at 28 Paseo de Buenavista. The tour begins by admiring modernist houses built in the area during the early 20th century.
After learning the history of these houses, the tour continues to La Panderola Park to see an old locomotive that connected El Grau with Castellón. Next, we'll visit the Museum of the Sea to explore the region's seafaring tradition.
The next stop will be the historic centre to view the San Pedro Church and the fish market. Nearby, we'll also see the Sailing Club next to the loading and unloading docks.
The route continues along Plaza del Mar and the Puerto Azahar esplanada, known for its leisure and restaurant options. Close to its docks, we can observe boats departing for the Columbretes Islands, located 50 kilometres off the Castellón coast.
The tour concludes at 1 pm next to the Puerto Azahar lighthouse, a 19th-century symbol of Grau de Castelló, relocated stone by stone to its current site.
