Maestrazgo Mining Park & Culla Tour

We'll meet in front of the Castellón Tourist Office at 9:10 am and board a minibus to Upper Maestrazgo. The Maestrazgo Mining Park is a key attraction in this region.

A mining train will take us to the entrance of the Victoria Mine. After fitting our safety helmets, we'll enter this underground cavity to learn about the work of miners from centuries ago, including the minerals extracted and safety conditions.

You will see several mining tools, original carts, and explanatory panels illustrating daily life in the Maestrazgo Mining Park.

Upon returning to ground level, we'll take the train to the Esperanza Mine. Here, we'll explore the natural cave conditions and discuss geological phenomena, shafts, and ancient stalactites.

Then, we will travel by minibus to Culla, known for its medieval atmosphere and Templar history. As we learn about the town's ties with the Order of the Temple, we will pass by the 11th-century castle, the Commander's granary, and the old hospital.

Finally, we will return to Castellón de la Plana, arriving around 1:50 pm.
