Your journey begins at the specified time at the Tourist Office of Castellón de la Plana, from where we will travel to the capital of the Els Ports region: Morella. Ready to uncover a place resembling a fairy tale? Let’s set off!

After a picturesque drive of about an hour and a half, we will reach the delightful town. Our first point of interest will be the impressive castle of Morella, dramatically situated atop a steep rock. Next, we will proceed with our guided exploration of the historic center, entering through the renowned towers of San Miguel.

Throughout our tour, we will encounter significant sites, including the 14th-century Town Hall and lovely noble houses. Additionally, we will visit a local honey shop, perfect for those wishing to acquire this traditional product from Morella as a memorable keepsake!

Our experience will culminate with a visit to the Archpriestly Basilica of Santa Maria, a stunning representation of Valencian Gothic and Renaissance design. Within its walls, we will be captivated by remarkable features such as the Churrigueresque-style High Altar, depicting the Lignum Crucis presented to King James II. The intricate details of the choir staircase will also stand out as a key highlight of the basilica.

After we finish exploring the basilica, you will enjoy 2 hours of free time to either savor lunch or wander through the most charming streets of Morella at your leisure. In the end, we will reconvene and make our way back to our original meeting place in Castellón, concluding this enriching 10-hour day trip.
