San José Caves Tour

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we will meet at the Tourist Office in Castellón and proceed to the town of Vall de Uxó.

In Vall de Uxó, at the foot of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, we will begin a guided tour of the San José Caves. The caves maintain a constant temperature of 20ºC (68ºF) year-round. The exploration includes 255 metres (835 feet) on foot.

Next, we will embark on a boat ride along the largest underground river in Europe. This 800-metre (2625-foot) journey allows us to observe the rock formations on the cave walls while receiving insights about the caves.

After the cave exploration, we will visit the Calzados Segarra museum-shop, Spain's oldest shoe company, established in 1882.

In total, the tour lasts for 5 hours before we return to the meeting point in Castellón.
