Our adventure begins at Nuno Álvares Avenue, where we'll gather to board a minibus to the village of Foz do Cobrão, known for its slate houses.

Next, we will visit Vila Velha de Ródão to see the castle of King Wamba. We will explore its exterior, uncovering its history and connections with the Order of the Temple.

The journey continues to the Archaeological Station of Enxarrique in Vila Velha de Ródão, providing insights into past civilizations. Then we will go to Lagar de Varas to learn about the ancient process of olive oil production dating back to Roman times.

Afterward, enjoy a scenic 50-minute boat ride through the Portas de Ródão Natural Monument. This portion will include information on its geological formation, alongside views of its islands and local wildlife, including griffon vultures, black storks, and red kites.

The tour concludes with a return to the starting point after a 4.5-hour expedition.
