Upon arrival, we'll walk through the town and admire key sights such as the Roman bridge, old mill, and gates of the city walls, along with the ruins of the cathedral and connections to the Knights Templar.

The next stop will be Monsanto, known as the most Portuguese village in Portugal. We will explore its historic center, which features striking granite stones and houses integrated into the landscape. Key monuments include the Clock Tower, main church, and castle. You'll also enjoy panoramic views from the top of Monsanto Castle.

A quick stop will allow time for lunch at a local restaurant or a picnic. Afterwards, we will head to Penha Garcia, where we will walk along the river beach, admire impressive cliffs, and discuss local fossils.
