Enjoy the natural landscapes of the Basilicata region on this electric bike tour. You'll explore Pollino National Park and the Appennino Lucano-Val d'Agri-Lagonegrese National Park, two unique places surrounding Castelsaraceno!

Basilicata Parks Bike Tour

At 8:30 am, we'll meet at Piazza Piano della Corte in the heart of Castelsaraceno. There, we'll get on our electric bikes, put on our helmets and start a 40-kilometer bike ride (25 miles) through nature.

Throughout the ride, we'll follow a mix of asphalt and dirt paths while we take in the lush green forests of the Basilicata region.

As we pedal through Appennino Lucano-Val d'Agri-Lagonegrese National Park, we'll admire landscapes full of local flora and learn about the animals in the area, including wild boars and wolves.

During the route, we'll also see Mount Raparo, which rises 1761 meters above sea level (over 5700 feet).

We'll continue through Pollino National Park, the last Italian refuge of the Balkan pine. Riding along its paths, we'll encounter several specimens of these trees found in southeastern European countries like Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Greece.

After our cycling route filled with amazing landscapes, we'll finish the tour at 2:30 pm back at the starting point.
