In this guided tour of Castelsardo, we will visit the historical centre of this medieval jewel on the northwest coast of Sardinia.

Description

At the designated time, we will meet at Piazza Bastione to begin the tour. Castelsardo is situated on a promontory and is recognized for its beauty.

The tour will commence at the Porta Pisana, a notable medieval entrance. We will explore the distinctive streets of Castelsardo, sharing intriguing stories and legends along the way while examining its architecture.

Next, we will visit the Loggia Comunale, which illustrates the town's history, politics, and culture. Following this, we will proceed to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where we will discuss the city's religious traditions and the festivities and processions associated with Holy Week.

Afterward, there will be free time for those interested in visiting the Castle of Castelsardo or the Castello dei Doria, which offers views of the Mediterranean Sea, ideal for photos.

The tour will conclude with an aperitif at a typical restaurant, featuring local products such as sausages, cheeses, paired with a glass of local wine or other beverages. After approximately 2 hours, we will finish the guided tour of Castelsardo.
