Our journey begins with a pickup from your Piura hotel at 9 am, as we travel southwest to the city of Sechura, a trip that will take approximately an hour and a half by minibus.

Upon arrival, we’ll explore the city and take in its iconic sites, including the Plaza de Armas and the San Martín de Tours Church, the centerpiece of this provincial city. As we admire its tall towers and intricate baroque architecture, we’ll discuss its origins, which trace back to 1770.

Our next destination will be the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice. Here, while soaking in the beautiful surroundings, we'll also have the chance to observe migratory birds that come from as far away as Canada. We will delve into the intricacies of this estuary within the province of Sechura and provide insights on how to recognize various species we may encounter.

Afterward, we’ll head to Chulliyachi Beach, where you will have an hour of leisure time to enjoy lunch and explore the allure of this golden sandy stretch. Among the sights, we will discover the remnants of a ghost town, complete with its church and ancient mud houses once occupied by local fishermen. This small fishing community fell into disrepair due to the fragility of its materials and the relentless force of the sea.

Finally, we will venture to Médano Blanco, renowned for its breathtaking dunes in the Sechura desert. Here, you’ll receive a sandboard to experience the excitement of gliding down the dunes in this enchanting natural setting—an exhilarating way to conclude our adventure!

The excursion will wrap up around 5:30 pm with a return to your hotel.
