An ancient 18th-century cathedral, the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice, and desert landscapes are the main features of this tour in the province of Sechura, including sandboarding.
Description
Hotel pickup in Piura will begin at 9 am, followed by a southwest journey to Sechura city lasting about an hour and a half.
During the city visit, we will explore notable sites such as the Plaza de Armas and the San Martín de Tours church, established in 1770, focusing on its architectural details.
Next, we will visit the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice, where we can observe migratory birds and learn to identify various species within this estuary.
Following this, a visit to Chulliyachi beach will provide an hour of free time for lunch and exploration of the area, including the ruins of a ghost town with remnants of old mud houses and a church, highlighting the history of Sechuran fishermen.
The tour will conclude with a visit to Médano Blanco in the Sechura desert, where participants will have the opportunity to sandboard down the dunes.
The excursion will finish at 5:30 pm with drop-off at your hotel.
