Description
After picking you up at your hotel in Piura at 9 am, we will head southwest to Sechura, with a minibus ride taking about an hour and a half.
We will explore the city and its landmarks, including the Plaza de Armas and the San Martín de Tours church, dating back to 1770. We will discuss its history while admiring its towers and baroque features.
Next, we will visit the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice, where we will enjoy the scenery and observe migratory birds from places like Canada. We will learn to identify various animal species found in this estuary.
Following that, we will stop at Chulliyachi beach for an hour of free time to have lunch and explore this golden sandy bay. We will also see the ruins of a ghost town, including its church and old mud houses once occupied by local fishermen.
Finally, we will arrive at Médano Blanco, a well-known area in the Sechura desert. Here, we will provide sandboards for you to slide down the dunes and experience this natural landscape.
The excursion will conclude at 5:30 pm, with drop-off at your hotel.
