Description
After picking you up at your hotel in Piura at 9 am, we'll travel southwest to Sechura, a journey of about an hour and a half by minibus.
In Sechura, we'll explore notable landmarks, including the Plaza de Armas and the San Martín de Tours church, which dates back to 1770. This includes viewing its high towers and baroque details.
Next, we'll visit the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice, where you'll enjoy the scenery and observe migratory birds from locations like Canada. An informative session will follow on identifying various animal species found in this estuary of Sechura.
Afterwards, we will proceed to Chulliyachi beach for an hour of free time to have lunch and explore the area. This beach features a ghost town's ruins, including a church and abandoned mud houses previously inhabited by fishermen.
Lastly, we'll head to Médano Blanco, a prominent area of the Sechura desert. You'll be provided with a sandboard to experience sliding down the dunes in this natural setting, ensuring an enjoyable end to the excursion.
The trip concludes at 5:30 pm with drop-off at your hotel.
