Description
Pickup from your hotel in Piura is at 9 am, followed by a southwest minibus ride to Sechura, lasting about an hour and a half.
During our visit to the city, we will explore notable locations, such as the Plaza de Armas and the San Martín de Tours church, which dates back to 1770. We’ll discuss its historical significance while viewing its high towers and baroque details.
The next stop is the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice, where we will enjoy the view and observe migratory birds from locations as far away as Canada. The exploration will enhance your understanding of the local wildlife in the estuary of the province of Sechura.
We will then visit Chulliyachi beach, allowing an hour of free time for lunch and exploration. Visitors can see the ruins of a ghost town, including its church and mud houses, which were once part of a fishing community abandoned due to material erosion and sea action.
Finally, we will travel to Médano Blanco, a well-known area of the Sechura desert, where participants will have the opportunity to sandboard down the dunes.
The excursion concludes at 5:30 pm with drop-off at your hotel.
