Catania Private Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll meet in Piazza Federico II to start our private tour of Catania, beginning with the Ursino Castle. Built between 1239 and 1250 by Frederick II of Swabia, the castle was the residence of the Aragonese rulers and today serves as Catania's civic museum.

After exploring the castle, we'll walk along Via Autieri to the fish market, the city's vibrant center. Here, we will stroll through the kiosks until reaching Piazza Duomo, home to the Elephant Fountain, a noteworthy sculpture with various origin theories.

Next is the Cathedral of St Agatha, built on the martyrdom site of the city's patron saint, featuring the tomb of composer Vincenzo Bellini. We will explore the historical connection between him and Catania.

The tour continues to the Bellini Theatre and the ruins of the Roman Amphitheatre, as well as Piazza Dante, where we will see the Church of San Nicolò and the Benedictine Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After 2 hours of exploring Catania’s most emblematic sites, we conclude our tour.
