The Godfather Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Catania and travel by minibus to discover the set locations from the filming of The Godfather.
After a one-hour drive, we'll arrive in the medieval town of Savoca, where we will take a guided tour of the historic center. You'll see the Church of St. Nicholas, the site of Michael and Apollonia's wedding, and also visit Bar Vitelli, where you can sit in the same chair as Al Pacino. The bar has remained largely unchanged for 40 years.
During the Savoca tour, we will also visit a viewpoint that features a sculpture honoring director Francis Ford Coppola, providing a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea.
Next, we will visit the town of Forza d'Agrò. Here, we will walk through the historic center and view monuments like the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Church of the Annunciation, which appeared in the second and third installments of The Godfather. This town served as the stand-in for Michael Corleone's hometown.
Our final stop will be in Taormina, where you'll have approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time for lunch and exploring the historic center, including Palazzo Corvaja, the Clock Tower, and the Ancient Theatre.
The tour concludes upon our return to your hotel after a total duration of 7 to 8 hours.
