Join us on this day trip to the Valley of the Temples and the Scala dei Turchi, where you'll visit an archeological site and a natural attraction.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Catania to begin our journey. During the minibus ride, we will provide information about the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Once we arrive, you can explore the site at your own pace, focusing on seven well-preserved temples, including the Temple of Concordia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will also see remains of other temples dedicated to Juno, Hercules, Hephaestus, and Athena. For lunch, we will stop at the bar at the Archeological Museum of Pietro Griffo, which offers sandwiches featuring traditional products, water, and wine.

Next, we will visit the Scala dei Turchi, a notable white rock formation rising from the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea. You will learn about marl, the rock contributing to this landmark’s color, and receive stories about its origin. Afterward, you will have free time to explore the area.

Finally, we will return to Catania, dropping you off at your hotel after a day trip lasting approximately 9-9.5 hours.

The order of visits will depend on the weather conditions and the group's preferences, but a stop at the bar at the Archeological Museum of Pietro Griffo is guaranteed.
