River Trekking + Tubing

Join us on an water adventure in Chapada dos Veadeiros - we'll trek along a river, crossing waterfalls and canyons, and then go tubing down the rapids.

River Trekking + Tubing

The adventure will begin at 10 am at Rua Borba Gato de Cavalcante, where we'll meet and then walk to the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park entrance.

The first activity will be a 3-kilometer (1.86-mile) water hike upriver along the San Bartolomé River. During the hike, we'll cross multiple waterfalls and canyons characteristic of Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, a major nature reserve in the interior of Brazil.

After the river trek, we'll continue with a tubing activity in the Almas River, floating on tubes down a stretch of 1.2 kilometers (0.75 miles), which includes several sections with rapids.

The tubing activity will conclude at a beach in the Bacupari Reserve, where we will enjoy a picnic including a sandwich, a slice of cake, fruit juice, and coffee.

After lunch, we'll walk back to Cavalcante, with an expected arrival back at the meeting point at 3 pm.
