Description
We'll meet at the Punta Sabbioni bus station, where we'll begin our boat journey across the Venice Lagoon. As we board the boat, we'll leave Punta Sabbioni behind and navigate the waters of the world's most renowned coastal saltwater lagoon.
During our trip, you'll see the remarkable MOSE project, a tidal defense system crucial for safeguarding Venice from flooding.
Our route includes a visit to the island of Lido, known for its sandy beaches and historical significance. We will pass the ancient Fort of Sant'Andrea, which guards the lagoon entrance, as well as San Servolo Island. The journey features picturesque sights and rich history.
Additionally, we'll pass Armeni Island and the Venice Biennale Gardens, concluding with the magnificent island of San Giorgio, where the impressive Church of San Giorgio Maggiore offers a stunning view.
After 35 minutes, we will return to Punta Sabbioni, concluding our ride.
