Pick-up at your hotel in San Ignacio is at 9 a.m. for a 45-minute drive into Belize wilderness. En route, visit ancient villages and the Barton Creek Mennonite farm to learn about traditional lifestyles.
After crossing valleys, arrive at Barton Creek River to canoe to Barton Creek Cave, known as the Mayan underworld. Paddle through limestone formations and caverns reaching up to 260 feet.
After the cave tour, disembark and enjoy a tasty lunch of rice, chicken, beans, and fried plantain.
The tour concludes with a return to San Ignacio, dropping off at your accommodation by 2 p.m.
