Tikal Trip

Discover one of the largest Mayan cities in Central America when you take this fantastic trip to Tikal. At this fascinating archeological site you will encounter the ruins of beautiful pyramids and palaces.

Tikal Trip

Pickup is at 7 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio, followed by a drive across the border into Guatemala. After a thirty-minute drive through the jungle, we will arrive at the citadel of Tikal.

Explore one of the most important Mayan sites in Central America, walking among over 3000 structures and learning about pre-Columbian life. Tikal may be familiar from films such as Star Wars and James Bond.

Visit Central Park, where the Pyramid of Guatemala is located, and ascend the Temple of the Masks and Temple IV, which stands at 209 feet high.

After three and a half hours of exploration, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Tikal, featuring soup, a meat or vegetarian main course, vegetables, and rice.

We will return to San Ignacio, concluding the excursion at 4:30 p.m.

Border crossing

During booking, you can choose the option with border pickup in Guatemala. The itinerary remains the same, with a 7:30 a.m. meeting at the border and finishing at 4 p.m.
