Discover one of the largest Mayan cities in Central America on this trip to Tikal, where you will explore impressive ruins including pyramids and palaces.

Tikal Trip

Pick-up will occur at 7 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio, followed by a drive across the border into Guatemala. After a thirty-minute journey through the jungle, we will arrive at the citadel of Tikal.

Explore one of the most significant Mayan sites, featuring over 3000 structures that illustrate life for the pre-Columbian nobility. Tikal is recognizable from films such as Star Wars and James Bond.

We will visit Central Park, home to the Pyramid of Guatemala, where religious sacrifices occurred. Additionally, we will ascend the Temple of the Masks and Temple IV, standing at 209 feet high.

After three and a half hours of exploration, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Tikal, which will include soup, a meat or vegetarian main course, and vegetables with rice.

Following lunch, we will return to San Ignacio, finishing the excursion at 4:30 p.m.

Border crossing

When booking, you can select the option with pick-up at the border with Guatemala. The itinerary remains the same, but the meeting time will be at 7:30 a.m. at the border crossing, concluding at 4 p.m.

Since we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala, you must bring your passport.
