Yaxha Trip

Join us on an adventure to the archaeological site of Yaxha, where you will discover one of the important ceremonial centers of the Mayan civilization with its temples and pyramids.

Yaxha Trip

Pickup will be at 8 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio. We will cross the border into Guatemala and arrive at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab to explore the ancient city of Yaxha.

Key sites visited include the Astronomical Complex and Pilgrims' Avenue, where you will learn about the traditions of the Mayan people and see the Twin Pyramid Complex. We will spend four hours experiencing the lifestyle of the Yaxha Mayans and view the Temple of the Red Hands, the most frequented site. A stop at a local restaurant will allow us to regain our strength.

After enjoying a lunch consisting of a meat or vegetarian dish, we will return to San Ignacio and conclude the excursion at your accommodation by 4 p.m.

Sunset trip

You can reserve the sunset excursion, which follows the same itinerary. Pickup will be at 11 a.m. and return to your hotel at 7:30 p.m.

Necessary documents

As we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala, it is required to carry your passport during the trip.
