Yaxha Trip

Join us on a fantastic adventure to the archaeological site of Yaxha. You will discover one of the most important ceremonial centers for the Mayan civilization and see magnificent temples and pyramids.

Yaxha Trip

We will pick you up at 8 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio and head across the border into Guatemala. We will arrive at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab, where we will encounter the ancient city of Yaxha.

We will visit the most significant parts of this pre-Columbian city, including the Astronomical Complex and Pilgrims' Avenue. You will learn about the traditions of the Mayan people while admiring the Twin Pyramid Complex.

For four hours, we will explore the way of life of the Yaxha Mayans and see the remains of the Temple of the Red Hands. We will stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

After enjoying a meat or vegetarian dish for lunch, we will return to San Ignacio and accompany you to your accommodation, with the excursion concluding at 4 p.m.

Sunset trip

When you make a reservation, you can choose to take the excursion to Yaxhá at sunset. The itinerary remains the same, but we will pick you up at your hotel in San Ignacio at 11 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m.

Necessary documents

During the trip, we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala. Therefore, you are required to carry your passport.
