This guided tour of Cazorla offers a look back in history. We'll visit the Bóveda del río Cerezuelo and the ruins of the Church of Santa María de Gracia, as well as enjoy an olive oil tasting.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Calle Gómez Calderón to start this olive oil tasting of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. During the experience, you'll learn to differentiate categories of virgin olive oil, tasting the local royal and picaul varieties and participating in sensorial games that will engage your sense of smell and taste.
After the tasting, we'll head to the viewpoint of Pintor Zabaleta to begin our guided tour of Cazorla. We will discuss the historical origins of Cazorla and the significance of the natural park surrounding the town.
We'll take a walk along the Cerezuelo Riverwalk; here, we can see various species of birds, an old flour mill, and admire local flora including oak trees, yew trees, and fig trees.
This leads us to the bóveda del río Cerezuelo, which dates back to the 16th century, allowing river channeling that facilitated the town's expansion. We will reveal the associated legend and also visit the ruins of the Renaissance-style Church of Santa María de Gracia.
After 3 hours of activity, we'll conclude at the Plaza de Santa María, in the historic centre of Cazorla.
