Tagus River Cruise

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the pier of Cedillo, located on the border between Spain and Portugal. It is the westernmost municipality of Extremadura.

We will board a boat and begin to cruise through the waters of the Tagus River towards Herrera de Alcántara, a town known for its Roman bridge. The Tagus acts as the natural border between Spain and Portugal, dividing the Tagus International Natural Park managed by Extremadura and Portugal.

During the cruise, the crew will share facts about the culture and history of the Spanish-Portuguese border. We will enjoy the park's great diversity of flora and fauna and its stunning natural environment. There may be sightings of endemic bird species such as the griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, black stork, and the imperial eagle, which is endangered.

Before reaching Herrera de Alcántara, the boat will turn around, and we will admire the scenery until returning to the departure point after a total of 2 hours.
