Etna and Taormina Day Trip

On this day trip to Mount Etna and Taormina, we'll travel from Cefalu to enjoy a day surrounded by Sicilian wonders. You can visit the Greco-Roman Theatre and try some local cuisine. Don't miss out!

Description

We'll pick you up at the meeting point in Cefalu at the indicated time and head to Etna, the most famous volcano in Sicily and one of the most active in the world. During the ascent by bus, you'll enjoy splendid views of the surrounding countryside.

We'll follow a route around the volcano's cone to admire its craters and vents, from where you can see grey-coloured vapour escape. According to Greek mythology, the Forge of Hephaestus is located here.

After the tour of Etna, we'll provide some free time so that you can go on the cable car and then in a 4x4 to reach 3000 metres (9842 feet).

After marvelling at the land around Etna, we'll travel to Taormina, famous for its Greco-Roman theatre. We'll take a guided tour around the centre of Taormina, and then you'll have more free time.

You'll have the chance to visit the Taormina Theatre or enjoy free time to try some Sicilian dishes or go shopping.

Finally, we'll return to Cefalu and drop you off at your hotel 13 hours after the initial pickup.
