Tour Highlights

We'll commence our adventure at the designated meeting point, the train station in Cefalù, as we set off to discover the key sites of this enchanting Sicilian town.

The journey begins at Porta Terra, which serves as a gateway to understanding the historical roots of Cefalù. From this vantage point, you can gaze upon the walls dating back to the 4th century BC that once safeguarded the settlement during the Greco-Roman era.

As we venture into the historic center of Cefalù, we will stroll along Corso Ruggero, the main thoroughfare alive with ancient artisan shops, local delicacies, and elegant residences, including the charming Osterio Magno.

A visit to the medieval laundry area from the Arab period will follow, where you’ll find the traditional basins still filled with fresh water from the Cefalino River, a picturesque scene from times gone by.

Our complimentary exploration will lead us to the Marina, as we pass through Porta Pescara, leading to the vibrant port area. Here, we will explore the fishing quarter, notable for being the backdrop of iconic films such as Nuovo Cinema Paradiso and Indiana Jones.

Subsequently, our path will take us to Piazza del Duomo, followed by a visit to the Cathedral Basilica of Cefalù, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside, the breathtaking Byzantine mosaics will enthrall you before we proceed to the Norman quarter of Francavilla, where we will conclude our tour after approximately two hours.
