Velia Archaeological Park Excursion

After being picked from your hotel in Palinuro, we'll hit the road for the archaeological site of Velia, located in the Piana di Velia district in the town of Ascea Marina.

Once at our destination, we'll visit the archaeological site, known as Velia in the Roman world and Elea in the Greek world. Here, we'll explore the remains of this city, significant for its location on ancient trade routes between Greece and Etruria. This site includes the noteworthy Porta Rosa, the only example of a 4th century Greek arch.

After six hours of excursion, we'll conclude the day by taking you back to your hotel in Palinuro.
