Velia Archaeological Park Excursion

After being picked from your hotel in Palinuro, we'll travel to the archaeological site of Velia, located in the Piana di Velia district in the town of Ascea Marina.

Upon arrival, we'll explore the archaeological site, known as Velia in the Roman context and Elea in the Greek context. The site was crucial in ancient trade routes between Greece and Etruria.

One of the highlights of the tour is the Porta Rosa, the only surviving example of a 4th century Greek arch. Photography opportunities abound.

After six hours of exploration, we'll return to your hotel in Palinuro.
