Cricova Winery & Orheiul Vechi + Curchi Monasteries Day Trip

On this excursion from Chisinau, we'll visit the Cricova winery and the monasteries of Orheiul and Vechi.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chisinau to explore Moldova's prominent cultural landmarks.

Our first stop will be the Curchi and Orheiul Vechi monasteries. The Curchi monastery, located in the Vatici Valley, offers insights into Moldovan religious architecture history.

Next, we will visit Orheiul Vechi, an open-air museum with ruins of ancient settlements, including the Mongol city of Shehr Jedid and a rock church. After exploring, you will have free time for a meal at a traditional restaurant offering typical Moldovan cuisine.

After the meal, we will head to the Cricova winery, the second-largest in Moldova. The winery features cave storage at depths of 60 to 80 meters (196 to 262 feet), attracting notable visitors.

We will take a tour of the facilities and learn about the winemaking process. After our visit, we'll return to Chisinau and drop you off at your hotel after about 8 hours of activity.
