On this day trip to Soroca, we'll visit a 15th-century fort and the Romani quarter to discover Moldovan culture.
Description
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chisinau for a 2-hour bus ride to Soroca.
En route, we will stop at the Thanksgiving Candle, a 30m (98 ft) monument commemorating the anonymous heroes of Moldova.
Upon arrival in Soroca, we will visit the 15th-century fort, an important stronghold during Stephen the Great's rule, overlooking the Dniester River. After the visit, you will have time for lunch.
Next, we will head to the Romani quarter, where you can see impressive castle-like mansions made of marble and granite, while gaining insights into local culture.
On the return trip to Chisinau, we will stop in the village of Ghindesti for a visit to a local brewery.
You will be dropped off at your hotel nine hours after pickup.
