Soroca Day Trip

On this day trip to Soroca, we'll visit a 15th-century fort and the Romani quarter to explore Moldovan culture.

Description

At 9 am, hotel pickup in Chisinau is followed by a 2-hour bus ride to Soroca.

En route, a stop will be made at the Thanksgiving Candle, a 30m (98 ft) monument honoring anonymous heroes of Moldova's culture and history.

Upon arrival in Soroca, we will visit the 15th-century fort, an imperative stronghold during Stephen the Great’s rule, overlooking the Dniester River. After exploring the fort, you will have time for lunch.

Next, we will proceed to the Romani quarter, where we will see distinctive castle-like mansions made from marble and granite, gaining insight into the local culture.

On our return to Chisinau, a visit to a local brewery in the village of Ghindesti will occur.

You will be dropped off at your hotel approximately nine hours after pickup.
