Neo-Medieval Fortresses Hike
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ceuta and drive to the Sierra Bullones to start a 6-kilometer hiking route. During the hike, we'll discover the history of the neo-medieval forts atop the seven hills that separate Spain from Morocco. The fortifications were constructed in the mid-19th century following the Spanish victory in the Battle of Wad-Ras. The towers have been used to safeguard the border.
We will closely admire the towers of Piniés, Aranguren, Ányera, Mendizábal, Isabel II, Francisco de Asís, and the fort of Príncipe Alfonso. The trail is of moderate difficulty and follows the natural border between Europe and Africa, featuring unique landscapes.
After completing the hiking route, we'll return to the vehicles and drop you off at your hotel, concluding approximately after three hours of activity.
