Neo-Medieval Fortresses Hike
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ceuta and drive to the Sierra Bullones to start a 6-kilometer hiking route. Walking through the seven hills that separate Spain from Morocco, we'll explore the history of the neo-medieval forts that crown them. The fortifications were erected in the mid-19th century after the Spanish victory in the Battle of Wad-Ras. These towers have served to protect the border.
During the hike, we'll admire the towers of Piniés, Aranguren, Ányera, Mendizábal, Isabel II, Francisco de Asís, and the fort of Príncipe Alfonso. The path is of moderate difficulty and runs along the natural border between Europe and Africa, offering surprising landscapes.
After three hours of activity, we'll return to the vehicles and drop you off at your hotel.
