Gocta Waterfall Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel and depart Chachapoyas towards the town of Cocachimba.

Upon arrival in Cocachimba, we will begin a 2-hour hike along trails to admire the plants and wildlife of the Peruvian jungle.

We will then reach the Gocta Waterfall (locally known as "La Chorrera"), which cascades down from a height of 771 metres. This waterfall was only discovered in 2002.

During our return to Cocachimba, we will learn about the legends associated with the waterfall, including stories of mermaids and snakes that guard the area.

To conclude the trip, we will have lunch at a local restaurant, consisting of a starter, main course, and drink. We will return to your hotels in Chachapoyas, arriving by approximately 5:30 pm.
