Huancas & Sonche Canyon Day Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel at the selected time and head to Huancas, less than 10 kilometres north of Chachapoyas.
We'll approach the viewpoint of the Sonche Canyon, offering a view of the Amazon Andes' geography. Experience the silence as we gaze into the kilometre-deep abyss formed by the Sonche River pass.
In Huancas, we'll explore the techniques of its renowned female potters, whose work is recognized as a cultural heritage of Peru. Learn about the ceramics making process and the pottery tradition inherited from Huanca, Chachapoya, Inca, and Hispanic cultures.
On the return to Chachapoyas, we'll stop at the Luya Urco viewpoint for photographs. Following this, we'll visit the Santa Ana Ethno-Historical-Religious Museum to learn about the area's architecture during the 16th century.
Finally, we'll visit the Santa Isabel orchid nursery in the southern part of the city. After approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, we'll return you to your hotels in Chachapoyas.
