Tour Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel at the indicated time to head towards the province of Bongará, north of Chachapoyas.

After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive in the district of Cuispes, where we'll start a low-intensity hike to reach our destination. We'll ascend to an altitude of 895 metres (2936 feet), on a hiking route of one and a half hours, viewing the area's biodiversity along the way.

This protected area is the habitat of wild flora species such as orchids, bromeliads, and passion flowers; mammals such as the spectacled bear and possums; and a total of 223 species of birds, including the endangered spatula-tailed hummingbird.

After 1.5 hours of walking, we'll arrive at the Yumbilla waterfall. This spectacular waterfall of 895 metres (29376 feet) high is considered the second-highest in Peru and the fifth-highest in the world.

You'll enjoy some free time in this natural area to rest and take pictures. Afterward, we'll move to the district of Cuispes for a regional lunch.

Following lunch, we'll return to Chachapoyas. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled a total of 7 hours after pickup.
