Oxapampa 2 Day Tour

Day 1: La Merced - Oxapampa - Pozuzo

Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in La Merced at 8 am. The first stop is the town of Oxapampa, known for its Austro-German settlers. Here, you'll see traditional wooden houses and buildings in Tyrolean style, including the Church of Santa Rosa.

Next, visit the Huarapo farm, where you can taste local products made from sugar cane brandy. You'll also visit a trout farm and a dairy plant. Lunch is at your leisure before continuing to Pozuzo. The route features views of the Rayantambo and Yuliqunti waterfalls and Yanachanga National Park.

Upon arrival in Pozuzo, you will check in and rest.

Day 2: Pozuzo - La Merced

The second day starts with breakfast at your accommodation. A tour of Pozuzo includes the Church of San José, built in 1875, and a monument to Father Joseph Egg. You'll see the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Francisco Shafferer Museum, showcasing items from the first settlers.

Next, visit the Emperor Wilhelm I suspension bridge and view several European-style buildings. You'll then explore Pozuzo's cemetery and break for lunch before returning to La Merced, with drop-off at your hotel between 5 and 6 pm.
