Perené Valley & Chanchamayo Waterfalls Excursion

We'll pick you up at 9 am at your hotel to embark on an excursion to the Perené Valley. First, we'll stop at the Kimiri Suspension Bridge, the oldest in Chanchamayo.

We will cross the Perené Valley and learn about the legend of the hills. Along the way, we'll see orange groves and stop at the Villa Progreso viewpoint for a view of the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo rivers, which form the Perené riverbed. These rivers originate from the Huaytapallana Mountains.

Next, we will visit an Indigenous Asháninca community to learn about their customs and handicrafts. Following this, we will arrive in the town of Yurinaki, where you will have time for lunch.

After lunch, we will proceed to the famous waterfalls of Chanchamayo: Bayoz and Velo de la Novia, both over 100 meters high. On the return, we will visit the Highland Coffee factory to learn about coffee production, as La Merced is recognized as the coffee capital of Peru.

Finally, after a nine-hour tour, we will drop you off at your hotel in La Merced.
