Perené Valley & Chanchamayo Waterfalls Excursion

Pickup is at 9 am from your hotel for an excursion to the Perené Valley. The first stop is at the Kimiri Suspension Bridge, the oldest in Chanchamayo. Next, we cross the Perené Valley and discuss the legend associated with the hills. The journey includes views of orange groves and a stop at the Villa Progreso viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo rivers which create the Perené riverbed sourced from the Huaytapallana Mountains.

We will visit an Indigenous Asháninca community to learn about their customs and handicrafts, followed by free time for lunch in the town of Yurinaki.

Post-lunch, the tour continues to the notable Bayoz and Velo de la Novia waterfalls, both over 100 meters high. On the return trip, we will stop at a Highland Coffee factory to learn about local coffee production. Concluding the nine-hour tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel in La Merced.
