Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake Tour

After meeting at the gates of Rock Garden at the selected start time, we begin our tour of the park, during which we will see thousands of sculptures made with recycled materials. You will learn how, in 1960, a local artist started cleaning up a small forest and decided to create art from the bits of glass and plastic collected.

The project of Nek Chand features paths, waterfalls, and sculptures, and has become a symbol of the city. More than 5000 people visit Rock Garden every day.

After Rock Garden, we will explore Nagar Van forest park, also known as City Forest, ideal for hiking lovers. Here, you will find numerous trails, a bridge, and a hidden cabin. The area is home to over 20 bird species.

Next, we head to the Lake Sukhna reservoir, created in 1958 by damming a water stream from the Sivalik Hills at the foot of the Himalayas. This area has become a favorite recreation and leisure space for Chandigarh residents.

After around 2 hours of touring the parkland, our tour concludes on the shores of Lake Sukhna.
