No, it's not a joke: 9D cinema exists and you can find it at Minoan's World in Chania! Vibrating seats, wind, snow, rain, smoke, bubbles, lightning, and much more, all live and direct! Are you ready to experience a nine-dimensional movie?

Upon arriving at the Minoan's World ticket office, seats in the cinema will be assigned for viewing this unique show. The film transports you back in time through numerous legends from Greek mythology and important historical events. From the origins of Knossos, the ancient Minoan civilization's most significant city, to soaring through the sky with Icarus and Daedalus and exploring the labyrinth of the Minotaur, this experience will not disappoint!

After the 9D movie, you can explore the various exhibitions within the Minoan's World 3D Museum that feature interactive sculptures and murals. It's a perfect blend of education and entertainment!

Typically, visitors watch the film before touring the museum, but the order of your visit may vary based on theater availability. Occasionally, the museum tour takes place before the 9D cinema experience.

Opening times

When making your reservation, you'll choose your desired visit time at Minoan's World. Minoan's World operates during the following time slots:

Monday to Saturday: October 28 to November 4, from 11 am to 5 pm, with shows running every half hour. The last show is at 4:30 pm.Monday to Saturday: November 5 to November 30, from 11 am to 4 pm, with shows taking place every half hour. The last show is at 3:30 pm.

The movie headsets are available in 11 languages: English, Greek, German, Polish, Russian, Dutch, French, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish.

Children under 3 years old

All ages are welcome to visit! Children under 3 years old go free, provided they sit on their parent or guardian's lap during the film screening. If they require their own seat, a child's ticket must be purchased.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will experience an immersive 9D cinema followed by a visit to the 3D museum. The experience may vary based on seating availability. Make sure to select your visiting time during the reservation process. Services included are access to both the 9D cinema and the 3D museum, with movie headsets available in multiple languages. Not included are any additional experiences outside of the scheduled shows and museum entry.

The meeting point is at the Minoan's World ticket office, where you will gather your cinema tickets and head to your assigned seats. Enjoy your journey through history and mythology!
